Supersession File
Description & Use Cases
The supersession file provides detail of the supersession chain between parts. This is typically used for the following purposes:
To have a digital reference to link parts together in the supersession chain find a part with available inventory
To demonstrate the supersession chain on customer websites
Schedule
The file is extracted weekly and available by 8am on Monday.
Delivery
The file will be delivered weekly via ftp to a Gardner or customer ftp location.
File Layout
The file will be delivered in csv format. Description of fields below:
FromItem Varchar(33) Original Gardner Part Number
ToItem Varchar(33) Superseded Gardner Part Number
Substitution Boolean 0 = No, 1 = Yes
CompletesCircularPath Boolean 0 = No, 1 = Yes
Circular Boolean 0 = No, 1 = Yes
